Preparing for Your Hospital Stay

What to Bring
Pack only essential items, such as:

• Comfortable clothing
• Bathrobe, slippers, pajamas (if preferred)
• Toothbrush, toothpaste, and other toiletries

What to Leave at Home:

• Valuables or large amounts of cash (the hospital is not responsible for lost items)
• Large electronic items. Small electronic devices like iPads or Laptops are allowed

We offer two meal service options:

• Same-day ordering – Fill out the order form at your bedside. If you have dietary restrictions, only approved foods will be listed.
• Room service – Order meals at your convenience by following the instructions on the bedside menu. A representative will assist with any dietary concerns.

Spouses/partners on the maternity floor and parents of hospitalized children can order a complimentary meal to dine with their loved one.

Phone and TV

• You can make unlimited free local calls from your room phone.
• You may bring your mobile phone.
• All rooms have TVs with a channel guide provided.

Our hospitalists are available 24/7 to manage your medical care. They will check on you daily and coordinate with your primary care doctor to ensure a smooth transition home. Learn more about hospitalists.

Chaplains are available upon request.

• Our chaplain has specific training in supporting people from the different Faith Traditions and offers support to hospitalized patients.
• When you are admitted to your hospital bed, the nurse will ask you during your assessment if you would like a visit from the hospital chaplain.
• Your answer “yes”, will automatically send a referral to the chaplain. You may also dial extension 3015 directly or the chaplain can be paged for you.

The chapel on the third floor is open 24/7.

For patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s, our specially trained volunteers provide companionship through conversation, music, and games. This program also offers caregivers a break, knowing their loved one is engaged and supported.
