Emerson Hospital Visiting Hours and Parking

Visiting Hours
We encourage visitors between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM daily. Limiting visitors during the evening hours allows patients time to rest and recover.
If you want to talk to a hospitalized patient, call 978-369-1400, and we will connect you. For up-to-date guidelines, please refer to our visitor policy.
Parking
Parking is available in the garage near the hospital’s main entrance and in the lower lots adjacent to Route 2.
- If you have a handicapped plate or placard, please park in one of the many nearby spaces with a handicap parking sign.
- If you are visiting an office in the Medical Office Building with parking validation, please park in the lower lot adjacent to Route 2. Garage parking is not validated. If you have parking questions, please contact the garage office at 978-287-3009.
Parking Rates
- 0–½ hour: Free
- ½–1 hour: $7
- 1–2 hours: $9
- 2–3 hours: $10
- 3– 8 hours: $11
- More than 8 hours: $20 (Maximum charge per day)
- A lost ticket will result in a $20 charge
Please pay for your parking before returning to your car. Payment kiosks are located at the hospital’s main entrance, parking garage elevator entrance, emergency department entrance, and the Medical Office Building and Clough Surgical & Birthing Center lobbies. The payment kiosks accept cash, credit, and debit cards (no cash at the Medical Office Building or Clough Surgical kiosks). You may also pay by credit or debit card at the exit gate, though this is not preferred. Attendants do not sit at the exit gates.
Valet Parking
Valet service is available to guests visiting the Medical Office Building and Hospital, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, for $10 per vehicle,
To access valet services, guests should enter the semicircle in front of the building. If guests expect an appointment to end after 5 p.m., they should inform the valet attendant upon arrival for planning purposes. Attendants do not expect guests to tip them for this service.
Dropping-off and Picking-up
- If you are dropping off a patient for day surgery, there is a dedicated entrance in the Clough Surgical Center lot across from the parking garage.
- If you are dropping off a patient for another test in the hospital, drop them at the main entrance.
- If a patient is going to the Medical Office Building, head to the Medical Office Building entrance.
- If you are picking up a patient and need to wait, the first 30 minutes of parking in the garage or patient lot is free.
