Emerson Hospital is here for your emergency medical needs:

  • Serious burns, cuts, or lacerations
  • Head or eye injuries
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Fainting, changes in mental state, or slurred speech
  • Broken bones or dislocated joints

What to Expect

When you arrive, a triage nurse will assess the nature and urgency of your medical condition. To help us evaluate you more efficiently, X-rays or lab tests may be performed before you see a provider. The admitting secretary will then take you to a treatment room and register you.

While we make every effort to expedite your care, please understand that patients are treated based on the urgency of their medical needs. The seriously ill and injured must be seen first.
