Bone X-Ray: No special preparation is needed.
Chest X-Ray: Wear loose clothing and avoid wearing jewelry around your chest.
Upper and Lower GI X-Ray: You may need to fast for several hours before the exam.
Other X-Ray Services: Specific instructions will be given based on the type of exam.

At Emerson Health, our experienced radiologists and technologists ensure your X-ray is done safely and accurately. We use advanced technology to provide high-quality images, helping your doctor make the best decisions for your care.

Walk-ins are accepted for most X-rays with a provider’s order.

Tests requiring fluoroscopy must be scheduled through the Emerson Health Patient Access Department. Schedulers are available Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM at 978-287-3003.
