Conditions We Treat

Infusion therapy delivers medication directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. It is an essential treatment for many conditions, including:

  • Cancer – Some chemotherapy treatments are given intravenously
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Crohn’s disease and colitis
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Blood disorders
  • Infections requiring IV antibiotics

In addition to infusion therapy, we also offer:

  • Phlebotomy services (blood draws)
  • Blood transfusions
  • Special injections before cardiac surgery
  • Immunizations

Comfortable, Supportive Setting

Infusion therapy can take several hours per session. To make your experience as comfortable as possible, the Naka Infusion Center provides:

  • 18 private and semi-private treatment bays with floor-to-ceiling windows and soothing artwork
  • A stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages; you may also bring a meal from home
  • A patient and family lounge with cable television
  • Access to integrative therapies, such as massage therapy and Reiki, to support healing and relaxation
  • Additional support services, including social services, nutritional counseling, pastoral counseling, and friendly hospital volunteers

Honoring a Legacy

The Naka Infusion Center is named after Patricia Neilon Naka, and it was made possible by the generosity of her husband, Robert Naka, Sc.D.
