When you or a loved one needs outpatient infusion therapy, expert care is available close to home at the Naka Infusion Center at Emerson Health. Our skilled team provides advanced treatment in a comfortable, welcoming environment designed for your well-being.
Conditions We Treat
Infusion therapy delivers medication directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. It is an essential treatment for many conditions, including:
- Cancer – Some chemotherapy treatments are given intravenously
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Crohn’s disease and colitis
- Multiple sclerosis
- Blood disorders
- Infections requiring IV antibiotics
In addition to infusion therapy, we also offer:
- Phlebotomy services (blood draws)
- Blood transfusions
- Special injections before cardiac surgery
- Immunizations
Comfortable, Supportive Setting
Infusion therapy can take several hours per session. To make your experience as comfortable as possible, the Naka Infusion Center provides:
- 18 private and semi-private treatment bays with floor-to-ceiling windows and soothing artwork
- A stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages; you may also bring a meal from home
- A patient and family lounge with cable television
- Access to integrative therapies, such as massage therapy and Reiki, to support healing and relaxation
- Additional support services, including social services, nutritional counseling, pastoral counseling, and friendly hospital volunteers
Honoring a Legacy
The Naka Infusion Center is named after Patricia Neilon Naka, and it was made possible by the generosity of her husband, Robert Naka, Sc.D.
