Corporators
Emerson has long relied on its Corporators to play an important role in serving as ambassadors, advocates, fiduciaries and benefactors for our health system in their communities.
Emerson Health’s corporators are community representatives elected to three-year terms. They are nominated by Emerson staff, board members, and other Emerson Corporators. Corporators are active volunteers who prioritize Emerson Health’s philanthropy. They play an important role in educating our communities about the health system’s services and activities and provide valuable feedback to enhance our services.

Ambassadors
We rely on Corporators for be our representatives in the community, educating others about Emerson’s services and initiatives.
Fiduciaries
Corporators perform the important fiduciary role of electing the System Board of Directors at the Hospital’s Annual Meeting each year.
Benefactors
Corporators give time, expertise and philanthropic support to make our vision a reality. Corporator support ensures we continue to deliver advanced, quality care.
Advocates
Corporators are connectors between their towns and Emerson. They facilitate opportunities to enhance communication or services between Emerson and local communities. Corporators also ask the hard questions and challenge us to grow to ensure that Emerson continues to provide the highest-quality healthcare.
