At Emerson Health, our interventional radiologists, nurses, and technologists use advanced imaging to perform procedures that often result in less risk, less pain, and quicker recovery than traditional surgery. These services are available at our main campus in Concord.

Our Services

We offer a range of procedures, including:

  • Vascular Studies: Non-invasive tests to check blood flow in arteries and veins.
  • Needle Biopsies: Using imaging to guide a needle to remove a small tissue sample.
  • Catheter Placements: Guiding catheters for vascular access or peritoneal dialysis.
  • Uterine Fibroid Embolization: Blocking blood flow to uterine fibroids to shrink them.
  • Paracentesis: Removing excess fluid from the abdomen.
  • Thoracentesis: Removing fluid from the space between the lungs and chest wall.
  • IVC Filter Placement: A device is placed to capture blood clots and prevent them from reaching the lungs.
  • Epidural Steroid Injections: Delivering medication to reduce pain and inflammation.
  • Kyphoplasty: Treating spinal fractures to relieve back pain.
