Goiter (abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland)
Graves’ disease (an immune system disorder that results in overproduction of thyroid hormones, or hyperthyroidism)
Hashimoto’s disease (also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, a condition in which the immune system attacks the thyroid, often leading to hypothyroidism, which is an underactive thyroid)
Hyperparathyroidism (an abnormally high concentration of parathyroid hormone in the blood, resulting in weakening of the bones through loss of calcium
