Endocrine Surgery
Endocrine surgery is a subspecialty of general surgery that focuses primarily on diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands.
Advanced Endocrine Surgery
Emerson Hospital is home to the only endocrine surgeon in the greater Concord area, where we offer surgical treatments for thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal gland disorders.
Additionally, Emerson Health is affiliated with Massachusetts General Brigham — giving you streamlined access to even more advanced surgical care for endocrine disorders.
Conditions We Treat
- Thyroid and parathyroid cancer
- Adrenal tumors
- Goiter (abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland)
- Graves’ disease (an immune system disorder that results in overproduction of thyroid hormones, or hyperthyroidism)
- Hashimoto’s disease (also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, a condition in which the immune system attacks the thyroid, often leading to hypothyroidism, which is an underactive thyroid)
