Expert Care for Your Lungs

Pulmonary rehabilitation is a program designed to help people with lung conditions breathe easier, improve their strength, and stay active. Our team works with patients and their families to manage conditions such as COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and lung transplant recovery.

How it Helps

  •  The program teaches you about your lung condition and how to manage symptoms
  • It helps you build strength and improve your fitness
  • It supports you in daily activities so you can live more independently
  • It provides education, emotional support, and breathing techniques

Program Details

Our pulmonary rehabilitation program lasts eight weeks and includes 16 sessions. A registered respiratory therapist guides each session and includes:

  • Personalized exercise training with stationary bikes, weights, and other equipment to improve strength and endurance
  • Education on lung health, breathing techniques, and how to prevent infections
  • Guidance on medications, oxygen use, stress management, and energy-saving tips
  • Support for quitting smoking, eating well, and coping with shortness of breath

Family members and close friends are welcome to participate.

Is it Right for You?

This program may be right for you if:

  • Frequent coughing leaves you tired or breathless.
  • Shortness of breath affects activities of daily life, including:
    • Walking, climbing stairs, or doing household tasks.
    • Bathing, dressing, or eating.

A doctor’s referral is required to join the program. Our team will help verify insurance coverage.

Additional Support

Better Breathers Club

This is a free support group for people with lung disease, their family, and friends. Meetings include guest speakers such as pulmonologists, therapists, and dietitians who discuss lung health and disease management.

📅 Meets the third Thursday of each month at noon.

Freedom From Smoking Clinics

Quitting smoking can be challenging, but support makes it easier. Our eight-week group program, created by The American Lung Association, helps participants:

  • Learn strategies to quit smoking.
  • Manage stress and avoid weight gain.
  • Stay smoke-free long-term.

Smokers 18 and older are welcome to join. Participants are six times more likely to quit successfully than those who try alone.
