  • Cancer
  • Cardiac diseases (e.g., Congestive Heart Failure)
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Kidney failure
  • Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases

Palliative Care is Not Hospice

Many people confuse palliative care with hospice care, but they are not the same.

Palliative care focuses on providing comfort and symptom relief while patients receive treatments for their illnesses. We can provide palliative care at any stage of a severe disease. In contrast, hospice care is for patients who are nearing end-of-life and have chosen to forgo curative treatments, with the focus solely on comfort and quality of life.
