Peter DiDio Joins Emerson Health as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Emerson Health announced today the appointment of Peter DiDio, as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the oversight of all of Emerson’s financial operations. Mr. DiDio brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare finance to the independent, non-profit health system.
Most recently, Mr. DiDio served as Vice President, Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer for Blue Cross of Idaho, the state’s leading health insurance provider. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at St. Luke’s Health System, Idaho’s largest healthcare organization, where he helped guide the system through significant growth and financial transformation. Under his financial leadership, revenue expanded from $600 million to $3.8 billion throughout the healthcare organization.

At St. Luke’s, Mr. DiDio integrated financial operations for over 60 acquisitions, managed a capital investment strategy exceeding $2.6 billion, and directed the centralization and modernization of business applications and processes across multiple hospitals and care sites. His focus on innovation, operational efficiency, and stewardship resulted in annual savings and strong financial outcomes.

Mr. DiDio earned his degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Boise State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He chaired the education committee for Boise State University’s College of Business & Economics and served as a founding executive member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Large System Controller’s Council. He lives in Westford with his family.
