Emerson Health Names Rachel Wasserstrom, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Emerson Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Wasserstrom, MBA, as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Wasserstrom will lead the organization’s strategic planning, business development, and partnerships to drive long-term growth and support Emerson’s mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Ms. Wasserstrom brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience across academic medical centers and community health systems. She most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer at Tufts Medical Center’s Faculty Practice, where she led ambulatory operations, care delivery innovation, and initiatives to improve access, productivity, and patient experience.
Her previous leadership roles span several respected institutions, including Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is currently the Associate Director for the Master of Science in Clinical Service Operations program at Harvard Medical School and a course director in the program, where she teaches Harvard Medical School post-graduate students.

Wasserstrom holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
